At Combyne, we know a thing or two about crop marketing, it’s what we do. But that doesn’t mean we stop learning or questioning our own process to achieve the results we’re looking for. External validation and feedback is essential for refining our solutions to meet the needs of the agricultural community. That’s why we recently engaged with Olds College to conduct an in-depth analysis of our platform.
Over the course of a couple of months, Olds College’s Smart Agriculture Research team evaluated Combyne, focusing on its ability to help producers track commodity inventories and yield projections against marketed and delivered crops. We were excited to hear a candid review of our user’s experiences and gain feedback for practical changes we could make.
The research undertaken by Olds College covered several aspects:
• User onboarding experience
• Functionality of Total Marketable Crop management
• Effectiveness of grain storage and bin tracking tools
• Utility of trade document management features
The results were honest and insightful. Participants, mainly new users from the Olds College Centre for Innovation, tested the platform extensively. While they confirmed that Combyne helps producers make more informed crop marketing decisions, they also provided plenty of feedback on areas needing improvement, particularly in enhancing specific features’ functionality and clarifying terminology throughout the app.
Inspired by the constructive feedback from Olds College, we are always exploring further research opportunities that will help provide a better experience for our customers. Future studies may include deeper dives into new user experiences, the functionality of marketable crops, and the assessment of our grain storage solutions.
We are immensely grateful to Olds College and all the study participants for their valuable insights. As we continue to evolve, these partnerships will remain pivotal in ensuring that Combyne not only meets but exceeds the expectations of the farming community.
